For nearly two decades, I worked as a model in an industry that was built around fitting the mould. I was surrounded by fashion, beauty and incredible creativity, but also by an idea of what you should look like, how you should dress and who you should be.

The older I got, the less interested I became in fitting in.

I’ve always believed that personal style is exactly that - personal. The things we wear should tell a story about who we are, not make us look like everybody else. And for me, jewellery has always been one of the simplest, most powerful ways to do that.

I started Aaria during lockdown from my kitchen table in London. There was no big business plan or team behind me - just an idea of the kind of jewellery I wanted to wear and couldn’t find.

I wanted pieces that could become part of your everyday uniform, but still had something unexpected about them. Jewellery that felt elevated but effortless. Bold, without being saved for a special occasion. Pieces you could stack, mix and style differently depending on who you wanted to be that day.

A stacked ear was always part of my signature look. I loved layering earrings and playing with different combinations - until one of my piercings closed during Covid.

Suddenly, I couldn’t create the stacked look I loved.

So I started playing with an idea: what if one piercing could give you the look of multiple earrings?

That idea became the Aaria London Illusion Earrings - designed to create the effect of a perfectly curated ear stack from a single piercing.

What began as a solution to my own styling problem became our signature design and, eventually, some of our most-loved pieces.

It also became a perfect expression of what I wanted Aaria to be: jewellery that looks a little different, makes getting dressed more fun and allows you to create your own style without following the rules.

I don’t believe jewellery should come with rules.

Wear one piece or stack five. Mix metals. Pair something delicate with something oversized. Wear the statement earrings with a T-shirt. Save nothing for “best.”

Aaria is designed to give you the building blocks and let you make them your own.

Because ultimately, it isn't just about jewellery. It's about that feeling when you put something on and instantly feel a little more like yourself - when you stand a little taller, feel a little bolder and walk out the door with a little more confidence.
